New Moms

It's funny. We have all these new moms calling in to schedule appointments at the Health Center.
I try so hard not to laugh when some mom's call in & say something along the lines of "I need to schedule a check-up for my 53 month old." Okay, I may be exaggerating a teency bit. But seriously, I have had some calls that have been just about that ridiculous!
Next time I need a doctor's appointment "Hi, I'm 258 Months & have a cold, can you fit me in today?"
So, the question is, when do you think is an appropriate age to start referring to a child's age in years?

  1. Ok, I go by month the whole first year, then round up/down to 15 months, 18 months, then say almost 2, 2, almost 2 1/2, 2 1/2, etc. They change sooooo much the first 18 months that I have to specify the month because a 16 month old and a 13 month old are probably pretty different.

  2. Yeah, personally, I think up to 2 years is okay in months, but after that... it's not too intensive changes/growing. I literally had a mom call in once and do her child's age in months up in the 30s! I might do that when I have kids just for fun :)
