Countdown

Till SUMMER!! I move into my new apartment with Kristin on April 26. It has a pool, to say I'm excited is an understatement. It's by the RB so I'll be close to my classes. Yeah, I'm taking spring term classes, but right now, I don't even care. I am so excited for sunshine, swimming, warmth, new ward, new friends, the whole shabang! I'm still waiting to hear back if EFY wants me to work for them...cross our fingers people, I really want to be an EFY counselor!
My marathon is in less than 2 months & training is going great! The long runs are exhausting and taking longer and longer, Friday I did 14 miles in about 2 1/2 hrs. It took a long time, it was warm at the beginning of my run... but got really cold as the sun went down. I ran 7 miles straight yesterday, hoorah! My body's tired today, but I've got another 4 miler today then Friday is a 16 miler. I do 16 miles as the long run for a couple weeks and then I have 18 milers & then it starts tapering down to marathon time! I can do this! I will do this! I am a marathoner! I've never felt so accomplished in my life as I have in this training. I have never been good at school. & I have never been good at pushing myself as much as I have done with this training, but currently, I feel invincible! Woohoo!
Plus, it's been 50 degrees here this week & it's been amazing, Monday I was so excited after I got back from my run I tried on all my shorts :)

  3. Way to go Rachel! You WILL totally be able to do this! Trust me. You've done 14--you will be able to do 26.2...I promise. I always say anything over 10 is long...it all just blurs together after that! Haha. I'm so impressed with you! Good luck with the rest of your training!

  5. Rachel, I give you great big fat KUDOS for having accomplished so much! Just to discipline yourself like that is something else. Good luck on the 16 miler! Please be careful and take care of your body though. You have to remember one day you will have children to take care of so watch out for you health, Sweetheart!
