I doesn't even feel like Christmas time right now for one sole reason. I did not have finals & I am not on a plane headed to TN. Nor do I have a ticket for one of those planes. I am really sad & kind of having a sad time dealing with it.  BUT I'm very excited to have time to be with the Brinkerhoffs. & I am so excited to spend Christmas with them. but boy I miss my family.

  1. I remember that feeling... the first few years I was married, I missed my family so much! It was especially hard at Christmastime. But it got so much easier for me when we had kids and started really doing our own thing. Sorry you're homesick! It's tough to live far away!

  2. Not that you have to go out and have kids right away (but that would be awesome)... my point was just that making new traditions as a new family together really helped me be less homesick.

  4. Rachel, I am so sorry to be late in getting this but I've had so little time. Just want you to know that it is true, you and Weston will be missed sorely! It won't be the same without you! You are a very important piece of this family I hope you know. Still, I guess we can't be selfish and need to share you lovely special ones with the Brinkerhoffs but wish that all of us could be together every Christmas, including the Brinkerhoffs, too! Give them my love and best!
